Through our Americans Helping Americans® affiliate, we provide community-based services to residents of a multi-family housing developments in conjunction with our housing affiliate: Pine Ridge Apartments. The Pine Ridge Community Center, supported by Christian Relief Services and Americans Helping Americans is an after school program and summer enrichment program for the kids of the Pine Ridge Community. Each day the center is open from 4:00-6:00 pm and each day is filled with outdoor sporting activities arts and crafts, and homework help.

Some of the children’s favorite activities include dodge ball, basketball, educational computer games, and a variety of board games. According to a daily participant, “Pine Ridge is a place for me to getaway and hang out with my friends!” Another child remarked, “I love coming to Pine Ridge because of all the Arts and Crafts I get to make and I love playing outside with my friends.”

Americans Helping Americans® and the Christian Relief Services have teamed up to make sure that the participants have a great facility and plenty of supplies for all activities. These two organizations have made a fun and safe environment for the children and teens served monthly to call home.
