 March 2010- Christian Relief Services, in partnership with Americans Helping Americans®, believes in giving a hand up not a hand out by providing assistance to over 37,362 men, women and children in fiscal year 2009 (ending June 31, 2009) through in-kind goods including food, shoes, school kits, hygiene kits, coats, blankets, toys and diapers. So far this fiscal year we have assisted 5,354 individuals and 312 Veterans and the numbers keeps growing.

The warehouse holds 15,000 cubic feet and takes up most of a city block. It’s full of furniture for Native Americans, bedding for Africans, the occasional battered refrigerator door.
Right in the middle is a floor-to-ceiling shelf full of cardboard boxes. The outside of each box reads: BANDAGES. It might as well read: WE CARE.
Working with United Way of the National Capital Area, Christian Relief Services of Northern Virginia has spent the last two weeks collecting donations for beleaguered earthquake victims in Haiti.

  Christian Relief Services has joined forces with the UNited Way of the National Capital Area and Interstate Worldwide Relocation Services to ship medical supplies to Haiti
The United Way of the National Capital Area is collecting desperately needed medical supplies for Fondation pour les Enfants d'Haiti, a Haitian Non Governmental Organization with a hospital and orphanage near Port-au-Prince that was not damaged in the recent series of earthquakes. The hospital is now overwhelmed with people of all ages seeking assistance.
Christian Relief Services will be shipping all collected medical supplies to Haiti, and we could use your help. PLEASE GIVE NOW to help enable us to ship these important medical and relief supplies.

100% of donations received will go to support our partner organization in Haiti, the Fondation pour les Enfants d'Haiti (FEH) (US Foundation for the Children of Haiti).
 Christian Relief Services worked with FEH some years ago to construct and establish the Hope Hospital which did not get damaged in the earthquake and is now inundated with injured survivors, and requests for assistance. FEH is managed and directed by Haitians, most notably, Gladys Thomas, an amazing woman (who was featured on The Visionaries, a PBS documentary with one episode that featured Christian Relief Services some years ago), people who know best the needs of the children of their country and how to work within Haiti. Its Board of Directors is comprised of volunteers dedicated to serving children through FEH. Fondation pour les Enfants d'Haiti is founded in the teachings of the Christian church.“Jesus is our guide and God is our Master”.
